What Are Angel Cards?

Angel Cards can be redeemed for a free ride home through Sophie Angels and are designed for emergency situations.

These cards allow bar staff to organize a free, safe ride home for any potentially vulnerable customers in a situation where it is unsafe for them to get home on their own.

'Angel Shots' is a concept from the UK where if a customer at a bar feels unsafe, they can approach the bar and ask for a 'Angel Shot'. This would indicate to the bar staff that the customer needs to be taken from the bar area and have a taxi called for them. Sophies Angels wants to get this concept running in New Zealand alongside our Angel Cards to help provide a friendly and reliable service for getting those in need back home safely.

How Angel Cards Work:

An Angel Card can be issued to a customer when the bar staff feel that a customer is in a vulnerable situation or in potential danger. They will then remove the customer from the scene and contact Sophies Angels to get you a safe ride home with their 'Angel Card'.

Once redeemed by the driver, the Angel Card is taken from the customer and returned to the establishment to be re-used again.
